کنار جدول خيابان رکاب می زنم، و نمی دانم بايد به او بگويم يا نه. به ادامهء مسير نگاه می کنم و می ترسم : هيچ وقت نمی رسم؛ به او هم همينطور. با عقل جور در نمی آيد. مسير مخصوص دوچرخه سواری همينجا تمام می شود، بايد به داخل پياده رو برم، خيابان خطرناک است. ممکن است بميرم! می خندم. اگر به او بگويم او هم می خندد. دنبال جاي مناسبی می گردم که بتوانم دوچرخه را از داخل خيابان به پياده رو ببرم، کاشکی راه مناسبی بود برای اينکه به او بگويم. تا جايی که چشم کار می کند جدول ادامه دارد؛ يا بايد پياده شوم يا بايد سعی کنم با دوچرخه از روی جدول بپرم. اگر به او بگويم حتما فکر می کند ديوانه ام. شايد هم هستم. ناگهان چرخ جلو را بلند می کنم و سعی می کنم از روی جدول پرواز کنم. چرخ جلو به لبهء جدول گير می کند و من با کمر به زمين می خورم. روی زمين پخش می شوم و به شکست پرش دوچرخه ام فکر می کنم و می دانم که به او می گويم.
در پياده رو رکاب می زنم، و به دنيايی که فکر می کند من ديوانه ام لبخند می زنم. ما با هم تفاهم داريم : من هم فکر می کنم بقيهء دنيا ديوانه است.
